ALA welcomes the latest addition to our team, Quantity Surveyor Modiegi Mokoka.
Modiegi is a budding Quantity Surveyor with 7 years’ experience in the construction industry. She also holds a BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying and BSc in Construction Studies.
Modiegi has grown her experience predominately in the mining and engineering sector, by consulting on an array of surface and underground infrastructure projects for commercial giants Anglo-American, De Beers and Exxaro. This included CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) projects that allowed for her to tap into the Education, Health and Social Housing construction industry to further her knowledge base.
Through her various roles as a contract administrator on NEC and bespoke contracts, she has grown astute in the nuances of managing volatile contract matters to ensure amicable resolutions early on.
She is also an accomplished sportswoman, having played for the South African women’s basketball team internationally for a number of years.
Managing Director Tom Lamb says:
I am delighted to welcome Modie to the team. Her enthusiasm and technical NEC knowledge really impressed at interview, and I am confident she will be a real asset to our growing London office.
We have been actively seeking to expand our London QS team and Modie will play a key part in that expansion. I am certain that any client who works with Modie will want to keep her on their team for the long-term.
Her experience in South Africa also offers opportunity for fresh ideas and new perspectives. I look forward to seeing Modie’s career at ALA unfold and seeing what the future holds for her.
We are actively recruiting. If you are interested in discussing opportunities to join ALA or are considering a career in Quantity Surveying, please email [email protected] or look at our Current Vacancies.
