Byron Tyson
Commercial Director
Byron joined ALA in 2011, and became a Director in 2016, he is based at the ALA head office in Cumbria.
Prior to joining ALA he managed his family’s construction business, a regional main contractor based in the Lake District. The experience of running the family construction business Byron solid technical grounding and real world, practical commercial knowledge.
For the past thirteen years at ALA, Byron has advised clients on commercial strategy and dispute resolution.
He has led and worked with multidisciplinary teams on infrastructure projects and disputes. His experience includes 50+ adjudications and strategic international energy and pipeline projects.
Byron is a chartered quantity surveyor with a master’s degree in construction law and a CEDR accredited mediator.
Outside of work Byron enjoys snowboarding and spending time with his young family. He has recently embarked on an ambitious project to renovate an 18th century Cumbrian farmhouse.
