We are delighted to announce the opening of our third ALA office in Warrington, providing our Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management and Claims services to the Warrington, Liverpool and Greater Manchester region.
Located at Rutherford House on the Birchwood Park Business Park, the new office is a key part of our strategic growth plans for 2019 and beyond.
Warrington is ideally situated and compliments our Cumbrian office at Kirkby Lonsdale and London office at Trafalgar Square. The Warrington office will be led by Senior Quantity Surveyor, Richard Elston.
Tom Lamb, Managing Director of ALA explains the reasoning for the new office:
“It’s an exciting time for ALA at the moment and opening this office is part of a wider plan to ensure that we have the proper infrastructure in place to support the business and our clients as we grow.
We’ve targeted the nuclear sector as a key area for growth, building on the work we are doing for LLWR in West Cumbria. With the NDA and all major key players in the sector having offices at Birchwood, it’s important for us to have a base here too. I see this as a demonstration of our commitment and ambition in the nuclear sector.
The office is a great location geographically, being only 35 minutes to central Manchester and Liverpool, and only 1 hour from Leeds. Anyone who has visited these cities recently will be aware of how much construction activity is currently underway in the North. As we look to expand our claims and commercial services in the construction and engineering sector, we expect to do a lot more work in all three cities.
On top of that Warrington expands our catchment area for recruiting talented commercial and planning staff in the North West. Birchwood is a straightforward commute from a lot of places, with good transport links. Although Kirkby Lonsdale is a fantastic place, we appreciate it’s not an easy commute for everyone.
Finally, we need the extra space. On top of our recent joiners, we’ve got a QS degree apprentice and a QS sandwich year student starting and it was starting to get a bit tight in the Kirkby office!”
