ALA is delighted to sponsor 12 year old Cumbrian tennis player, Daniel Drinkall.
Daniel lives at Arnside and is studying at Lancaster Royal Grammar School.
He trains at Kirkby Lonsdale Tennis Centre and M2 Performance Academy at Ribble Valley.
Daniel began playing tennis at four years old with his current coach Jon Griffin. During this period, he won the under 8s Cumbria County Championships and under 12s.
During this time Daniel enjoyed success in many regional tennis tournaments across the North of England and Scottish Borders.
In 2022 he was selected to represent England at the prestigious Battle of the Brits under 14s tournament in Aberdeen organised by the Murray family. The England team prevailed and Daniel had the opportunity to meet many professional tennis players including Dan Evans and Andy Murray.
In 2023 Daniel travelled to Dublin to compete in a Tennis Europe event and has plans to enter many more European events.
A highlight of 2023 was qualifying for the under 14s LTA Play Your Way Wimbledon Tournament. 15,000 players entered with just 300 players qualifying, which provided Daniel great experience competing on the hallowed grass of Wimbledon.
On 27 August 2023 Daniel won the under 14s Cumbria County Tennis Championship. You can see Daniel sporting an ALA T-Shirt, whilst holding the trophy in the photograph below:
On the same day Daniel was runner up in the final of the under 16s Cumbria County Tennis Championship
Daniel says:
I am delighted to be sponsored by A. Lamb Associates. I hope to win lots more trophies and help promote the ALA brand as I take my tennis career to the next level.
