We had a fantastic day at our inaugural Team Building event, at the stunning High Borrans.

Nestled in the hills 3 miles from Windermere in the Lake District National Park, High Borrans is a large country house with wonderful views,  set in 5 acres of woods and lawns next to its own lake.

The day was led by local outdoor pursuits company High Points. The ALA staff were split into teams and undertook a wide range of problem solving games and team building activities. Despite everyone at ALA taking it far to seriously and trying to ‘win’ at all cost, there was plenty of laughter to.

An impromptu game of football broke out in the evening, with some of the ALA elder statesman rolling back the years.

This was followed by a hearty meal, plenty of refreshment, with John Naughton and Matthew Leather providing the evening soundtrack on guitars.

We would like to thank all of the ALA team for making this such a great day. Everyone got into the spirit of the day and got involved.

We are truly proud of our team and this day was a reminder of how fortunate we are to have such an outstanding group of people.

Our 5 year plan- ALA25 sets goals to improve each area of the business with a focus on developing our team.

The aim is to create sustainable and managed growth without compromising on the quality or values that ALA is known for.
