IPLOCA 2022

ALA directors Tom Lamb and Byron Tyson had a great time at the International Pipeline and Offshore Contractors Association (IPLOCA) 2022 convention in Prague.

ALA joined 420 delegates for a range of informative talks, cultural excursions and socialising with the key players in the onshore and offshore pipeline construction industry worldwide.

Tom and  Byron say:

A key part of our business plan ALA25 is to focus on our specialist expertise in the pipeline market.

We could not have been more impressed with the IPLOCA convention in the beautiful city of Prague. It was a real credit to the IPLOCA team and the people in the global pipeline industry

Everyone we met was friendly and welcoming and we thoroughly enjoyed the week. The cultural excursions were first class, the jaunty accordion player blasting out tunes on the heritage  tram as we wound our through the city way to the historic Fleku brewery was especially memorable.

The Caterpillar Party at the spectacular Zofin Palace was another highlight.

However, the best thing for both of us was meeting the fantastic people who make up the global pipeline industry. We had some really interesting conversations, plenty of refreshments and plenty of laughter.

We are both really looking forward to next years’ convention in Vancouver.   

There is too many to mention, but a special thanks to those people who went out of their way to make us feel especially welcome.
