ALA welcomes the latest apprentice to join our team, Apprentice Quantity Surveyor, Alexander Burton.

Alex is currently undertaking his Quantity Surveying Degree at Salford University and got to know about ALA through our partnership with Queen Elizabeth School, Kirkby Lonsdale.

Alex will be based at our Clawthorpe Hall office in Cumbria for his industry placement which is 18 months. He will initially be providing onsite support to a long standing client on a high specification project in the Lake District and also assisting the ALA senior team on various tasks.

Associate Director Nigel Jackson says:

I am really pleased to welcome Alex to ALA.

He has already shown great talent and enthusiasm for the role and I have no doubt that he will become a real asset to ALA.

We’re developing a great bunch of young QS’s at ALA and the team is going from strength to strength.

Our 5 year plan- ALA25 sets goals to improve each area of the business with a focus on developing talent and supporting apprenticeships in the industry.

The aim is to create sustainable and managed growth without compromising on the quality or values that ALA is known for.
