John Naughton
Associate Director
John initially joined ALA in 2009 and worked with the company on a wide range of projects and disputes until 2015. He then joined a major utility and infrastructure contractor. John returned to the fold and rejoined ALA in 2021 as an Associate Director. He is based out of our Warrington office.
He has over 27 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager and has worked on a wide variety of projects and contracts.
John has a BSc in Quantity Surveying from Liverpool John Moores University.
In the last 15 years John’s career has been particularly focused on the infrastructure and utilities sector. This has predominantly involved commercially administering and managing the NEC form of contract.
John has experience successfully managing and leading commercial teams for major projects in both the UK and Australia.
He uses his extensive knowledge and experience to provide clients with commercially-focused pragmatic advice on a wide range of civils and infrastructure projects. John regularly assists clients with estimating/pricing projects, as well as providing advice, support and supervision to junior staff.
John is from Stretford, Manchester and takes an active role in several local community projects/events such as the renovation of the grade II listed building Stretford Public Hall which is now in community control. He has also organised music events locally for the Friends of Victoria Park. His interests include wild swimming, cycling walking, football and playing / listening to music.
