I joined ALA in 2011, and became a Director in 2016, and I’m based at the ALA North office in Kirkby Lonsdale.
Prior to joining ALA I managed my family’s construction business; a regional main contractor based in the Lake District, which I later sold to a management buyout. The experience of running my family business gave me a solid technical grounding and real world, practical commercial knowledge.
For the past eight years at ALA, I have advised clients on commercial strategy, contracts, procurement and dispute resolution, in particular Adjudication and Mediation.
I have considerable experience leading large multidisciplinary teams, comprising commercial staff, planners, construction lawyers, barristers and specialists on major construction and infrastructure projects and disputes.
ALA has taken me all over the world; from meetings at the Ritz in Cannes to mega projects in Qatar, to local projects here in Cumbria. I have a real passion for the industry, and I am proud of the positive contribution that we make to our clients.
I was born and bred locally, near the Kirkby Lonsdale office, and in my spare time I enjoy snowboarding, socialising, reading, walking and spending time with my family.
I have recently embarked on an ambitious project to renovate an 18th century Cumbrian farmhouse and aim to develop the accompanying 10 acre smallholding to self-sufficiency.
