PPS are a German contractor specialising in the construction of large diameter cross country pipelines and associated above ground installations as part of the HABAU Group of companies.
PPS developed operational capability in the UK market in 1998 and initially engaged A. Lamb Associates to provide Estimating, Commercial Consultancy, Project Management, Quantity Surveying and Planning Services for the Treales to Burscough Gas Pipeline Project as part of a JV with Alfred McAlpine Construction Limited.
ALA continued to be engaged by PPS to provide Commercial and Planning support for UK operations together with international support, bid preparation and estimating where required for overseas schemes. .
Our responsibilities covered the full range of related services including Project Management, Estimating, drafting of Contract and Subcontract Conditions, Subcontract Management, Earned Value Management, Technical Engineering Advice, Contract Review, Programme Management, Cost Monitoring and Cost Value Reconciliation, Design Co-Ordination, Identification and Valuation of additional and changed / delayed works & Dispute Resolution where required.
Sample projects include the 44km 900mm diameter Wormington to Sapperton Gas Pipeline, 35km 1220mm diameter Brecon to Tirley – West Section Gas Pipeline Project and 39km, 1050mm diameter Mawdesley to Warrington Gas Pipeline Project.
