Forest Side Hotel is grade II Victorian mansion built in 1853 in the heart of the Lake District.
The property was purchased by a boutique hotel owner operator who undertook to restore, renovate and extend the building to form a luxury hotel.
The project was subject to significant variations and delays. We were engaged by Thomas Armstrong Construction to provide commercial services and strategy. This included undertaking a comprehensive commercial analysis of the final account and ensuring that all due entitlement was identified, quantified, evidentially supported and presented to a high standard.
In order to demonstrate prolongation entitlement, we developed primary and supplementary delays analyses and a bespoke form of measured mile to prove reduced productivity.
The final account was successfully concluded in negotiations to the satisfaction of the parties. The hotel restaurant received a Michelin Star and the hotel has received plaudits and accolades in the national press.
